Findings for the study showed that main drivers towards CRS by telecom companies in Tanzania are to meet political expectation, building company image and reputation, competitive strategy, paying back to community, founding purpose, to meet expectation of the community as well as to comply with legal and political pressures. They do initiate projects, respond to disasters, promote local talents and support government efforts as their strategy of implementing CSR. Approach to CSR combines a strong sense of responsibility with modern business sense and a commitment to quality service for customers and a culture of continuous improvement; Conclusion: It is high time that these CSR projects are directed to key society problem such as shortage of water areas, dispensaries school facilities and infrastructures as well as get special audit on the usefulness of the fund allocated for such projects. The study recommends for more community based project that can solve critical problems in the society as well as extend the CSR projects to new areas that are of paramount importance to the society such as water supply and other infrastructures Private 2024-11-07T08:28:35Z 2024-11-07T08:28:35Z 2013 Thesis APA https://scholar.mzumbe.ac.tz/handle/123456789/1664 en application/pdf Mzumbe University
