In the process of getting the answers, questionnaires were used to obtain primary data from the population understudy that were from women entrepreneurs around Mzumbe .The data obtained was analysed qualitatively and quantitavely descriptive analysis were used to summarize the collected data and organize in a way that the researcher will be able to answer research questions. Tables, graphs and percentages or means were utilised for the quantitative presentation of data. As it was for the purpose of the study, From this study it can be concluded that the first factor for a women at Mzumbe to start business is insufficient family income, second factor is need for self –independent, third factor is self-fulfilment, forth factor is work flexibility, fifth factor is need for challenge to self-employment and lastly Dissatisfaction with salaried jobs. Furthermore these women entrepreneur are involved in different types of business especially cosmetics and women saloon business, Mama Lishe (Nutritious mother), Agricultural product, vegetable and fruits or commonly called “genge”, minsupermarkets and shops, pharmacy, hostel and poetry business. Most of women entrepreneur at Mzumbe are of age from 25years and above (about 93.5% of them) and below 25years range to 6.5% of all respondents. Their married for about 46.7% are single for about 39.1% and the remaining about 14.1% are separated. Most of them are primary education certificate holder, followed by tertiary education and then secondary education level. Entrepreneurial traits that most expresses them as per ranking are changing business as the market or opportunity permits ranked as first, they can with stand the fear of uncertainty and potential failure ranked as the second and they can spot an opportunity and do something where others have not ranked as third. The fourth ranking was being self-confident with my product or service even dare to enter competition and the last they always start business and fail but start again and determined to success.
