Specifically the study expected to address the following three research questions: How do employees keep their own employment record history? How does the employer get the missing personnel records concerning their employment histories and how does employer ensure employees keep their employment records? The study will employ a case study research design to answer the above research questions. The sample of the study consists of 25 respondents; 20 respondents from simple random sampling and five respondents from the purposive sampling which will include District Executive Director, Heads of Administration and HR Departments, Heads of Planning Department, Supervisor of open registry and supervisor of confidential registry within the council. The methods to be used for data collection in this study will be questionnaire and interview, where both primary and secondary data will be collected. The study is about an investigation on the success of record keeping by employees on their own employment Histories; The study discovered that employees tend to keep record through various methods and employer is very sensitive to ensure employees keep their employment records. The policies, Laws and Acts should be modified in which employees in this globalized era they are not obligated to keep those records as those records are supposed to be saved through Human Capital Information System.
