The study used a sample size of 108 respondents comprising of one DCDO, two Agricultural Officers, one DE, three WEOs from each ward, three Extension Officers and ninety eight Horticulture Entrepreneurs (from each ward). This gives a total of 98 entrepreneurs (respondents) and ten key informants. making a total of 108 samples size. Primary Data on this study were collected mainly through the use of questionnaire survey being supplemented with, checklist which was used to collect information from key informants. Secondary data related to Horticulture were collected through documentary review such as government published report. The statistical package for social science (SPSS - version -16.0.) was used in data analysis. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics such as mean and standard deviation were used to summarize the information obtained from the respondents. The research findings reveal that the challenges toward implementations of community development through horticulture entrepreneurs include but not limited to: frequent change of laws and government, low product demand, High input prices, high interest rate, inadequate extension services, diseases and pesticides, uncertainty climatic condition, and Physical infrastructures. From the aforementioned findings the study recommends that, the government through small groups of horticultural entrepreneurs should provide them with startup capital, Training on how to run horticultural activities, to ensure price control of horticultural products Provide/strengthen extension services, good government policy that support entrepreneurs pursuing horticultural activities.
